Iman Hasan’ Guide to Mexico

WRITING FROM: Mexico City

WHY I LOVE IT: I love Mexico because of its rich food and culture. All the flavours and visual inspiration it offers. I always leave inspired.

WHERE TO STAY: Four Seasons Mexico City

FAVORITE BREAKFAST: I love El Cardenal!

FAVORITE LUNCH SPOTS: Rosetta Mexico, and Contramar! I love the Tacos Al Pastor from Contramar, they’re my favorite! From Rosetta Mexico I love the shortribs and the burrata.

FAVORITE DINNER SPOTS: I absolutely love Pujol, Quintonil, and Sud 777. Pujol’s head chef is Enrique Olvera and he also owns the restaurant. His cooking is excellent, some of my favorite dishes include the mole madre, cauliflower soup, and the ceviche. Pujol was ranked the 12th best restaurant in the worldin 2019, it is definitely a must if you go to Mexico. For Pujol you need to book 3 months in advance, but it was definitely worth it!

FAVORITE SNACKS: The mexican candy is amazing (: Love the obleas with dulce de leche.

FAVORITE HIDDEN GEM: I loved going to the Frida Kahlo Museum, I was able to learn a lot about her, and her life. I also enjoyed going to bazaars and art galleries. El Bazar Sabado is a street bazaar that they have on Saturdays, it helped me learn a great amount about mexican culture.

WHERE TO SHOP: Centro Comercial Coyoacan!

FAVORITE DAY ACTIVITY: I love exploring the city by going to museums, and local markets. Also love the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral. It was a beautiful sight, and it taught me a lot about Mexican culture, and lifestyle.

LOCAL TIP: Mexico has such great food, I suggest if you are a foodie to try out everything, not be a picky eater but explore Mexico and all it has to offer. One of the best ways to learn about its culture is through its food. I love learning about other cultures and Mexico’s is beautiful. I learned a lot about Mexican culture by going. I suggest if you want to learn the most about a culture is by going in person
and experiencing it yourself!

WHAT I’M WEARING : I’m wearing the Juliette Dress in azalea red (:
