Santa Barbara: The Paloma Blue Way

Santa Barbara: The Paloma Blue Way

Hi from Santa Barbara, CA!

We love Santa Barbara and its surrounding communities because they’re laid-back yet luxurious. It’s serene beaches, natural atmosphere and under-the-radar yet exceptional hotels, restaurants and shopping spots make you never want to leave. We always design our clothes with the idea of women feeling beautiful and at ease, and Santa Barbara forever gives us that Paloma Blue feeling that you’ll see across our new collection.

San Ysidro Ranch: Tucked away in the hills of Montecito, this ranch style hotel is our ultimate romantic escape. It’s ambiance is seriously unparalleled. Each private cottage comes equipped with a cozy patio, hot tub and/or rain shower, and the restaurant features ever-changing items centered around the gardens around the property.

Rosewood Miramar Beach: A newcomer to the area, this hotel brings serious glamour. Situated directly on the beach, you’ll feel like you were transplanted into a Nancy Meyers movie. Some of our favorite things about staying here? The beach concierge, bocce ball court, super cute pink “Jolly” car and great dining options (we love you, Malibu Farm!). Plus, it’s service is nothing short of perfect.

The Biltmore: Part of the Four Seasons family, The Biltmore’s Sunday breakfast buffet is a serious commitment, but it never disappoints. We love to leisurely sit outside on the beautiful patio overlooking the water and sip on mimosas while dining. When we finish, we stroll around the property and if you’re staying here, pop into the beautiful pool that belongs in the home of our dreams!

Jeanine’s: Loved by locals and travelers alike, you can’t go wrong with Jeanine’s. It’s been a neighborhood staple for over 25 years, and serves up traditional breakfast favorites and baked goods.

Pierre La Fond: This market meets restaurant is our go-to for so many things! It has an excellent curation of grocery essentials from local farmer’s markets and thoughtful specialty brands, and has an extensive menu and deli counter filled with goodies to eat there or picnic elsewhere. Towards the back of the shop, there’s also a coffee bar. Don’t leave without getting a Soy Coconut latte.

Tre Lune: A cozy Italian restaurant with authentic dishes, lovely wine list and a familial feeling.

Oliver’s: This plant-based restaurant makes the tastiest dishes and cocktails. It’s atmosphere is completely Californian, we could sit out here forever!

McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams: You might have heard of, or likely even had McConnell’s delicious ice cream before. The company was born and bred originally as a dairy in Santa Barbara over 70 years ago and evolved into a fine ice cream company. We always like to stop in close to where it all began for a scoop of Salted Caramel Chip!

Cold Spring Tavern: Hidden in the hills of Santa Barbara, this spot defines hidden gem. Founded in the late 1800s as a stagecoach stop, it serves traditional roadhouse favorites.

La Super-Rica Taqueria: This mexican restaurant is super casual and has no frills, and rumor has it, was culinary icon Julia Child’s favorite place for tacos. This spot is a serious institution, serving up authentic mexican cuisine.

The Nugget in Summerland: Don’t let the saloon-inspired exterior fool you. Come here for arguably one of the best burgers we’ve ever had, and one of their famous bloody mary’s.

Belmond El Encanto: The best massage in town! Post-massage, take a stroll around the property and make a wish in the wishing well while you are fully zenned out.

San Ysidro Pharmacy: While you’re in town, stop in here and stock up on any and all of your wellness wishes! The staff here is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Garde: Impeccably curated furniture and design shop in Summerland. This shop is a must-visit, especially for minimalists. Owned by a husband and wife duo, they stock unique artists and designers from around the world and carry everything for the home. Want to live inside of here? Us, too, and lucky enough, they have an apartment unit above the shop available for overnight stays!

Diani: Our favorite local multi-brand boutique for clothing and accessories. Diani is perfectly curated for the California beach lifestyle.

Montecito Country Mart: The best stop for a mix of everything! The Country Mart houses some of our favorite kids shops, clothing stores, specialty foods and neighborhood necessities including a dry cleaner and barber shop.

Spend the day at one of the many gorgeous beaches. One of our favorites is Butterfly Beach, which is steps away from Honor Market, where we love to get our artisanal pizza fix. We pick up a chicken sausage pizza and their to die for chocolate chip cookies, and walk down the street and enjoy while we spend the day at the beach. While we wait for our pizza, we peruse around the market that doubles as a little shop with knick knacks you never knew you needed!

Lotusland: Located on a stunning private property in a residential neighborhood, Lotusland sits across 37 acres and is regarded as one of the top ten gardens in the world. You can wander around for an entire afternoon.

If you’re into antiques, take it from us, hunting around here is where it’s at! There are so many antique shops in Summerland, Montecito, Carpinteria, you are bound to find some serious treasures.
